Glass enameling

Glass enameling

The enameling process is a process in which a special ceramic pigment is applied and fixed on the glass to achieve a certain color of the glass surface.Ceramic enamel is applied to the glass in an even layer using special rollers, after which it dries. The thickness of the applied enamel layers can be 10-100μm thus achieving transparent and opaque color effects. After application and drying, enameled glasses undergo a tempering process whereby the enamel becomes resistant to mechanical damage (scratching and abrasion), solvents, UV radiation, temperature changes up to 320C and atmospheric influences. The glass is colored enamelled according to RAL and NCS standard to achieve accurate shades. In addition to monochrome, the glasses can be made in several colors and according to the motif by digital printing. They are produced in various thicknesses with maximum dimensions of 500x250cm. Enameled glass can be used as single, laminated or in thermal packages, thus finding wide application: wall coverings, countertops, furniture, facades, shop windows, railings, staircases, treads and canopies.
