Glass Bending
Glass Bending
Bending represents the thermal process of forming glass into spatial shapes. Depending on the needs, the glass is bent in one or two axes, in radii or as a free rectilinear surface. It is possible to bend all types of glass with a thickness of 4-19mm up to the maximum dimensions of 500X240X90cm. Bent glass can be used as part of thermal insulation packages, as part of laminated anti-vandal and armored bulletproof glass. Bent glass can be cut into different shapes, drilled and painted screams digital print, etc. The manufacturing process begins with the creation of a vector drawing that is used to prepare the section for bending. After preparing the bending section, the flat and clean glass goes through three stages to complete the process. The glass is first transported via ceramic rollers to a precise and uniform heating chamber where it is heated to a temperature of 680C. After heating, the glass is moved to the bending section where it is shaped into the desired shape. When the glass is brought to the desired shape, the entire surface of the glass is cooled in a controlled manner by a system of blowers after which the bending process is completed. After this process, tempered and shaped glass into the desired shape was obtained.
