Drilling and processing
Drilling and processing the edge of the glass is one of the most demanding processes in machining and it is necessary to carry it out with sophisticated equipment, special tools in contoured areas. In order to achieve the best drilling quality and the best precision all glass is drilled and machined on vertical automatic CNC machining centers with multiple machining heads equipped with special devices for precise positioning. Drilling in this way achieves a machining precision of up to 0.25mm and a perfect finish. After preparing the vector drawings for drilling and machining, the glass is placed on the input part of the machining center and the process of drilling, making notches and edge processing begins. The machining center positions the glass and automatically makes changes to non-moving tools to complete the programmed task. During all processing time, the tool and stock are rinsed with clean water and cooled to achieve the best processing conditions. When the processing process is finished the glass is transported further to the final washing and cleaning section to remove all residues generated by the processing.
